We will make maps of our world. Use these maps for illustrations or games. Remember, everything on this site is CCO, open source and public domain, so take anything you like, no worries.

If we Google, “how to fantasy map” we can find lots of excellent advice. We can also find brush sets to work with Gimp.

Earth is more than 12000 km in diameter, so let’s say our supercontinent is 12 000 km long.

Starting with our world maps we zoomed in on one continent.

We can still add lots to this map and make it better, but we wanted to zoom in some more.

An adult human walks approx. 5 km per hour. So it might take someone 172/5 = 35 hours to walk across without resting. OK maybe we walk 10 hours per day, so three and a half days if we are not attacked by trolls.
